Big Bad Wolf (BBW) 2014 menyaksikan suasana gamat dengan kehadiran orang ramai sementelahan pula pihak penganjur seperti tahun lepas membuka ruang seluas-luasnya 'ulat-ulat buku' membeli buku 24 jam tanpa henti (non-stop) di MINES, Seri Kembangan. Much has been written about the deaths of North Korea's first two leaders, Kim Il-Sung and Kim Jong-Il, and the implications for the country and its people, but what about the future? Is the Korean peninsula doomed to an unstable, insecure future, or does a brighter future lie ahead? Above all, how is North Korea doing and what will be the fate of its people in the future? This matters, because instability in a region with traditional enmities, unresolved conflicts and nuclear weapons clearly has the potential for disaster. In this book, North Korean expert Andrew Logie recognizes that the government and reality of life in North Korea is often simply unknown. So, as well as providing a guide to the future this book also focuses on the present answering questions such as: How and why is North Korea hungry and what have been the effects? What does North Korea seek through its violent provocations and how does it get away with it? Why has North Korea not collapsed? What can and is being done to expedite the collapse of the regime (without provoking war)? And what can be done to alleviate North Koreans' current suffering?

It was in the early 20th-century renaissance of the decorative arts that modern graphic design was born, art made to serve the global expansion of business and industry. Alain Weill traces the history of commercial imagemaking and typography in Europe and the United States, from the earliest poster artists to the radical avant-garde influences of Dada and Constructivism, De Stijl and the Bauhaus, from the political and social consciousness of the 1960s to the digital age. With an extremely readable text, hundreds of colour illustrations and additional documents by distinguished authors on 'Early Writings on Graphic Design', 'Advertising: The Mother of Graphic Design' and 'The Future of Graphic Design?', this is a treasure trove for students and practising artists and designers.

Neil Gregor introduces the reader to the crude but clear system of thought of the most notorious anti-Semite in history. He shows that for all Hitler's inadequacies as a writer, his texts do convey an implicitly genocidal message - if they do not necessarily announce mass murder as a stated ambition, they certainly contain it as a strong logical possibility. Analysing the text as a literary as well as a political tract, Neil Gregor shows, in particular, how the radical nationalist and racist messages of Hitler's best known work, Mein Kampf, are contained not just in the author's own arguments but in the language and generic forms of the book itself. Extracts are taken from Mein Kampf and from the Second Book.

In today’s world of over 780 million people can’t read- 1 out of 8 people on this earth. Here is the inspiring story of one man who has made it his mission to put books within reach of every child on the planet. In a world in desperate need for change, this book gives the reader a front-row seat to what life would look if one’s dream succeeded beyond their wildest hopes. In 1999, John Wood left a lucrative career at Microsoft to found Room to Read, the lauded non-profit that promote education across the developing world and which quickly became one of the most successful international literacy organization in the world. Today, more than seven million children in ten countries across the developing world benefit from books, libraries and schools thanks to Room to Read. Those students stories are the true heart of this book - children in Vietnam, Cambodia, and Laos whose educational systems are still suffering the aftereffects of war; the Sri Lankan students whose schools and village are swept away in the Tsunami: the Nepali children who had no books in the language they speak until Room to Read took on the additional challenge of publishing books in more than twenty languages. He also describes learning a few lessons the hard way and how to be resilient in the face of huge challenges, such as expanding into Africa and raising money during a global recession. As a business model, as a blueprint for doing good the right way, in partnership with the people being served, and as narrative of pure inspiration with a special message for everyone who loves books, Creating Room to Read is a one of a kind story.
